don s Routine coming of age movie with below average acting and an exceedingly dull storyline with cliched characters and situations. Lots of shots of Phillips with his shirt off. The subplot with the disabled boy was corny and meant to be heart-warming but was silly and nothing of the sort. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Lou Diamond Phillips, he did so well in "La Bamba" - what happened? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member The film means well, it isn't a bad film, it is just too sentimental and cute. It would have worked better if it had more bite to it, if the Lou Diamond Phillips character had more of an edge. The story is decent though. Watchable as well as forgettable.
