Kudos to the filmmakers to try and give so much character development but sadly the writing is painfully cliched and the acting is seriously amateur night. The nasty bits are cheap and unexciting. They attempt to create a suspenseful atmosphere but everything comes across too paint-by-numbers. Nothing too shocking, nothing original whatsoever. Has a good concept and good pacing, but unfortunantly is brought down by poor lighting, bad dialouge, an annoying leading lady etc. That isn't to say that this is a total failure either, it isn\t, I just feel it could have been done better. It is what it is though, an early 80's expolitation flick so it's flaws are to be expected. I would still give this a passing grade. I thought that questionable sanity of the leading lady did create a good amount of suspense and mystery. Are these vivid flash backs, or is she actually being stalked by a new group of rapists. That question is answered by the end, but I think it would have been more interesting if they left that open for the audience to decide for themselves. I don't buy that they were just "playing a joke" for a minute. Gore is pretty much non existent here, but the kill scenes do imply enough, Worth a watch for R n R fans.
