Steve D It all comes off as really ridiculous. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Woefully inept '80s slasher flick with Lyle Alzado of all people as the believed-to-be-executed serial killer stalking a movie set at his now-closed prison. Two of the film's biggest opportunities for gore and carnage (a prison riot and a film set massacre) are all off-screen. Only redeeming quality is Anthony Perkins as the film-within-the-film's unctuous director. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not something that can be whole-heartedly recommended but Anthony Perkins and Lyle Alzado make it worth the watch. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Fairly decent slasher, a little dull, and outweighed by Shocker, which followed a year later with a similar premise. Perkins and Rohner are great as usual and I really dig the filmmaking angle, but Alzado (who is quite the presence) is to over the top and ridiculous. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I bought this sight unseen to watch with friends. That kind of experience is always worthwhile. However, to say this movie was a let down would be an understatement. Sadly, there's really not much to this movie. The story is incomprehensible to make sense of (and I really tried). It isn't that bloody... Sadly the Anthony Perkins segments are almost from a different movie of its own and are too few to really be enjoyable. But I do still like the premise and I would be open to someone remaking this movie. I appreciate they built a cheap set to simulate a closed prison, it looked like something I could make. Anthony Perkins rules. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member If you can find this film anywhere, watch it!
