A criminal gang known as the Spider Ring attempts to bring down San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge using a secret sonic machine, then steals plans for a new high-speed airplane and later spreads counterfeit money. Their activities prompt an investigation by government agent Dick Tracy (Ralph Byrd) and his assistants, Steve Lockwood (Fred Hamilton) and Mike McGurk (Smiley Burnette). The ring's leader, a shadowy figure called The Lame One, soon attacks Tracy's brother to stop the investigation.

12/20/2015 Something about this story does not appeal to me. The fact that Dick would constantly leave his leading girls behind and practically forget them for meals did not seen appealing. The main character Dick Tracy almost seems flat in this film and I have very little emotional investment in the character. See more 08/04/2013 This review is for the 15 chapter serial. Starts out terrifically, but gets incredibly repetitive and boring the further along it goes. I'm not sure why this one has such a great reputation.
