Audience Member wow 8% at the time of my review which illustrates how much society disregards the regular/common dangers women know they must watch out for on a daily basis. stalkers & threats of unwanted advances is something that is foreign to me(men). outside of prison i can't see myself in an environment in which rape is a legitimate issue. to paraphrase the great Dave Chapelle *walking around w a lot of money is less dangerous than walking around w a vagina*. Kim Delaney is good in this. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member its and alright movie Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The Drifter is a decent psychological thriller. It shows what can happen when women have one night stands with people that they don't even know. The plot kept me interested & builds very slowly with some decent acting. It's a fairly typical stalker thriller with a surprise twist at the end. I liked it because it was a little more realistic than other films in this genre. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Better than average low budget thriller. Nice plot twists. True love can be strange. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This is sort of a distaff version of FATAL ATTRACTION as the stunningly gorgeous Kim Delaney picks up a handsome hitcher (Miles O'Keefe) and she has a one-night stand with him. But O'Keefe thinks that the evening they spent together meant more tohan it did and is soon following poor Kim around LA County. Then the movie diverts off into BLOOD SIMPLE territory when it turns out that people other than Miles are interested in Kim. This very low-budget film was releaded directly to VHS in 1988 and used to be quite commonly encountered in the "thriller" section of video stores. O'Keefe was never a great actor but he found a niche in the direct-to-VHS/direct-to-DVD market; he basically has to be cryptic, handsome, and somewhat menacing and manages to pull it off enough to make the movie work.
