06/18/2014 Bought it at a yard sale, and over paid $1. This poorly conceived film contains amateurish acting from well know actors, shabbily written dialog, and is shamefully divergent from the original novel by Charles Nordoff and James Norman Hall. It is simply awful. One star is overly generous. Jan Troell is normally such a magnificent director. This is one slow moving film. Mia Farrow stinks, the rest of the cast isn?t much better. See more 08/25/2009 ** (out of four) Mia Farrow and Jason Robards are a daughter and father who reunite in Bora Bora. She begins an affair with a local native...and wouldn't you know it...but a huge hurricane is headed right for them. The romance is pretty silly and only a time filler while we wait for the inevitable storm to arrive. See more 09/20/2008 This is actually one Denzel film that I like plus I like the Dylan song.
