Wet and windy, the sort of expensively foolish enterprise that suggests that everyone connected with it needs either a new agent or a legal guardian. Go to Full Review

06/18/2014 Bought it at a yard sale, and over paid $1. This poorly conceived film contains amateurish acting from well know actors, shabbily written dialog, and is shamefully divergent from the original novel by Charles Nordoff and James Norman Hall. It is simply awful. One star is overly generous. Jan Troell is normally such a magnificent director. This is one slow moving film. Mia Farrow stinks, the rest of the cast isn?t much better. Visually it is quite beautiful, and technically speaking it is fine, but dramatically it is greatly lacking. See more 10/22/2009 What happened? Jan Troell is normally such a magnificent director. She begins an affair with a local native...and wouldn't you know it...but a huge hurricane is headed right for them. The romance is pretty silly and only a time filler while we wait for the inevitable storm to arrive. See more 09/20/2008 This is actually one Denzel film that I like plus I like the Dylan song.
