matthias s **Review: The Incredible Hulk (1977)** I understand the hype surrounding the 1977 *The Incredible Hulk*. Bill Bixby as David Banner is fantastic, delivering an emotional and engaging performance. The film is more story-driven than action-packed, but it works decently well. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The first transformation into the Hulk is a highlight—both thrilling and well-executed. The chemistry between David and Elaina (Susan Sullivan) adds depth and heart to the narrative. As a big comic nerd, I appreciate the more realistic approach to the origin story, diverging from the comic’s version. It makes the film more accessible and relatable. This movie is a must-see for Marvel fans, offering a surprisingly engaging and entertaining experience. It’s far more emotional and character-focused than expected, and I loved it much more than I thought I would. A solid 3-star film that’s worth watching! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/04/24 Full Review John T. H a great pilot to a great show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/12/24 Full Review Robbie T A good tv pilot film that would lead to the popular tv series. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I honestly really love the Lou Farrigno Hulk TV Movies and Show. I love this movie and I use to rewatch the old show and movies every night when I stayed up all night back at the house at lake stevens where I used to live. I think this movie is a cultural masterpiece. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/13/21 Full Review Audience Member My favorite TV series ever, ranked just slightly above "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "The Dukes of Hazzard." The stories, for the most part, are engaging and dramatic. Bill Bixby's performance is heartfelt and often emotional. And Lou Ferrigno shines (quite literally in the green makeup) as the hulk.
