Sweet-natured Dave (John Lithgow) is having an affair with Sunny (Teri Garr), the wife of his blustery long-time partner, Ernie (Bruce McGill), with whom he owns a butcher's shop. One night after an argument, Dave knocks out Ernie and leaves him in an open meat locker. Sunny comes by and, in a fit of anger, locks Ernie in the store's freezer. When Ernie is found frozen to death, Dave think he's responsible. Meanwhile, dim-witted Detective Lester (Randy Quaid) is hot on the murderer's trail.

James N It's a phobe. Even more than the bingo ladened 2001 catastrophe. It's slow and everyone even John Lightow and Randy Quaid are ass on. Strong phobe. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review Audience Member That movie was so bad I just kept watching in amazement that any movie could be that bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Stinks from start to finish Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member With a talented cast, Out Cold is somewhat formulaic but benefits from a creative twist and solid performances by John Lithgow and Teri Garr. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Udayalaksmanakartiyasa H An old thriller-comedy film. This might be not enjoyable for its time. But watching this kind of movie now, this actually is enjoyable. It has some sort of feeling like Psycho, series of bizarre events. But I really like those crunchy and cliche dry comedy lines like "Is that Gerry?" while showing the meat grinder. That is just so so strong aftertaste in the back of your head. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/04/14 Full Review Audience Member This could have been much funnier, just because of the cast and story, what went wrong is the real mystery.
