Chaney's performance is of it's time and is quite respectful and remarkable. whats is great about chaney is he lives and breathes his characters addied a great cedibilty to his perfomances. I have to admit I got lost following the time scale of the events but it has a great resolution and a wonderfully teary ending. another silent classic Rated 4/5 Stars •  Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review harri k A beautiful, inspiring and pleasantly thoughtful, albeit slightly dated, Christian drama. This time Chaney portrays a wise and humble Chinaman yet to be convert by an eager and idealistic minister (Harrison Ford), who himself is threatened by blackmail. A nice Jungian reading seems to be available, besides the more evident Christian faith-promoting surface story. Final scenes are heartwarming and the film ends in a touching allegory.
