Popular and dashing American singer Nick Rivers (Val Kilmer) travels to East Germany to perform in a music festival. When he loses his heart to the gorgeous Hillary Flammond (Lucy Gutteridge), he finds himself caught up in an underground resistance movement. Rivers joins forces with Agent Cedric (Omar Sharif) and Flammond to attempt the rescue of her father, Dr. Paul (Michael Gough), from the Germans, who have captured the scientist in hopes of coercing him into building a new naval mine.

The result is a non-stop barrage of gags, many of them inspired and hilarious themselves but scattershot in effect because the premise isn't sturdy or coherent enough to hold them together.

3.5 stars; I've been such a fan of Zucker-Abrams-Zucker since "Airplane!" Yes, the humor is juvenile in most cases, but don't we need a dose of that every now and then as a break from all of the over-serious films out there? I've been so accustomed to Leslie Nielsen in those films that I'm missing him in this one. However, the humor is still there. Val kilmer showed a talent for humor in this early role versus the dramatic action roles he now plays.

there is not a single scene in this movie that is not hilarious. from the end less joke songs to the names of of the characters or latrine. I would watch this movie 20 times and still laugh.

I'd rather pop a cyanide pill... Crass and juvenile, which I can accept if the dialog is funny. But it ain't very funny. Val Kilmer in his film debut showed his skills as a fine actor. Christopher Villiers also did a fine job. Otherwise, it's no secret this is a dud.

The jokes aren’t limited to dialogue, they’re carefully crafted through the script, editing, practical effects, and staging. Every shot is filled with comedic details, many of them visual, inviting multiple viewings to fully appreciate its brilliance. The film masterfully blends parody, satire, absurdity, and cultural references with impressive precision. Val Kilmer’s performance, in his cinematic debut, is magnetic, striking the perfect balance between deadpan seriousness and the film’s ridiculous situations, which makes everything even funnier.

经典的无厘头恶搞喜剧，不可理喻的场景，误导再反转的台词动作，无下限的恶搞段子，以及贯穿全文、充当线索、表达作者思乡之情的漂亮大胸女主。无厘头电影的剧情一般都不复杂，看到开头就能猜到大致剧情，本片也不例外。男主是美国摇滚歌手，受邀来到东德参加音乐节时偶遇了父亲被逼制作秘密武器的女主。男主无意救下女主却身陷危机，二人出生入死萌生爱意，最终和抵抗组织一起救出女主父亲逃出东德。电影的一部分段子确实能让人会心一笑，但整体却令人食之无味。在我看来男主个人在片中可以说毫无笑点，其“本职”歌舞部分更是让我忍不住想要快进，反而是配角和意想不到的角落让我找到这部电影除了女主紧身上衣勒紧腰带以外的看点。总结：整部电影的笑点不足以支撑起男主的尬演，但凡你刷到过它的一个抖音短视频，你就失去了看这部电影的意义。
