Kathleen Carroll New York Daily News Although there is no question that this free-swinging spoof... runs out of steam, it is a wonderfully flaky example of what Hollywood has to offer in this traditionally silly summer season. Rated: 3/4 Apr 20, 2021 Full Review Tom Setzer Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com If you're in the mood for some frequently inspired silliness (and have been weakened by the heat) you'll no doubt find something to laugh at in this movie. Rated: 2/4 Apr 20, 2021 Full Review Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times The result is a non-stop barrage of gags, many of them inspired and hilarious themselves but scattershot in effect because the premise isn't sturdy or coherent enough to hold them together. Apr 20, 2021 Full Review Farah Cheded A Good Movie To Watch A delightfully silly spoof [that] is blessedly under no illusions as to what we want from a movie like this. Aug 25, 2023 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a hit-and-miss comedy that benefits from its stirring performances and smattering of hilarious set-pieces... Rated: 2.5/4 Jul 5, 2022 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz Along with his megawatt grin and pitch-perfect singing, which covers a range of musical genres, this was the moment that we saw a movie star born. Mooey H Top Secret! is a comedic goldmine! (And yes, they definitely don't make comedies like this anymore!) This movie is a hilarious whirlwind from start to finish, packed with quotable lines that I still find myself referencing today. It's a perfect blend of absurd humor, slapstick gags, and clever movie parodies. From Nick Rivers' rockstar antics to the French Resistance's hilariously inept schemes, every scene is packed with laugh-out-loud moments. This movie brings back so many happy memories! It's a guaranteed mood-booster, the kind of film you can watch again and again and discover something new to laugh at every time. If you're looking for a side-splitting comedy with a healthy dose of nostalgia, Top Secret! is a 5-star must-watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/24/24 Full Review Bryce G Very underrated movie. Not every scene is amazing or holds up well but it's still a good funny watch Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/24 Full Review Garrett P I still believe that this is the funniest movie ever made, but the replay value might not be great if you have any recollection of the movie. Still, the lengths ZAZ went to allow the absurdity to take place to unlike any other. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Alec B It's a wonderfully absurd barrage of nonsensical gags. Considering how popular the other Zucker, Zucker, and Abrahams comedies are, you'd think "Top Secret" would better remembered (or just remembered at all). It may just be because the film has barely any plot, but really who cares? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/10/23 Full Review gurken s A real good look on the german history - :-) For stupid americans who can't understand the difference between socialism =DDR and social democracy = a party of west germany. Val Kilmer made his way up the ladder with this one?! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/03/23 Full Review Billy C The funniest movie of all time! So many great gags that work! An absolute classic. just leave your brain at home and watch for laugh after laugh! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
