Brandon R This was one of my favorite movies growing up. I watched it weekly for years. Wore the tape out. And years later I shared it with my kids(DVD now) Sean Austin was very popular at the time, and although not as good as the goonies still a must watch. Perfect watch for an 8-10 year old. I was very surprised it's rated so low. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/25 Full Review Tim W “Toy Soldiers” is an excellent movie. If you haven’t seen it then you are missing out. Sean Austin in the perfect role. I love that Sean Astin cried in the film. It brought tears to my eyes. He also cried in “Rudy”. Sean is such a good actor and was with an all star cast with Will Wheaton, Keith Coogan and Louis Gossett Jr. An action and drama film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review Capturing The Moment M Watched this in the 90s and again recently, great actors and stands the test of time. Still a great movie. Will Wheaton's character is the most touching and although he thought fast to save his friends, he didn't have the smartest plan but had the most courage to save his friends. Great actors all around. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Michael S This film to me is like if "Goonies" met "Die Hard". It's of course nowhere near as good as those two but this is still a very entertaining & thrilling movie with a great performance from Sean Astin. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Jerod S When terrorists come for the boarding school, they can't stop this little rat pack of early 90s punks! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/29/23 Full Review Aaidah I first watched "Toy Soldiers" several years ago, when I was about 14 or 15. I didn't have much memory of it, so I decided to watch the movie again today. I must say that I really enjoyed this movie and was extremely impressed with the young actors' performances as well as the other actors like Andrew Divoff (played Luis Cali in the movie) The movie had elements of boyish, teenage antics, and mischief, which were slightly humorous and provided comic relief, especially after the beginning scene of the movie, which was needed. Throughout the movie, you see the character of the boys progress, especially Billy (played by Sean Astin), as they are presented with difficulties amid the takeover of the school by the terrorists. Overall, the heart of the movie was the comradeship amongst the boys, which was nice to see. I recommend people to give this movie a watch; it's something different compared to your average movie.
