Michael S This film to me is like if "Goonies" met "Die Hard". It's of course nowhere near as good as those two but this is still a very entertaining & thrilling movie with a great performance from Sean Astin. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Jerod S When terrorists come for the boarding school, they can't stop this little rat pack of early 90s punks! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/29/23 Full Review Aaidah I first watched "Toy Soldiers" several years ago, when I was about 14 or 15. I didn't have much memory of it, so I decided to watch the movie again today. I must say that I really enjoyed this movie and was extremely impressed with the young actors' performances as well as the other actors like Andrew Divoff (played Luis Cali in the movie) The movie had elements of boyish, teenage antics, and mischief, which were slightly humorous and provided comic relief, especially after the beginning scene of the movie, which was needed. Throughout the movie, you see the character of the boys progress, especially Billy (played by Sean Astin), as they are presented with difficulties amid the takeover of the school by the terrorists. Overall, the heart of the movie was the comradeship amongst the boys, which was nice to see. I recommend people to give this movie a watch; it's something different compared to your average movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/18/23 Full Review Ken N As others have said, dunno why it has a low score. I thought it was pretty good. Sure it has its flaws but it's a pretty solid movie I think. Funny to see Sean Astin in this kind of role. Also loved seeing Jerry Orbach, especially as a mobster which is diametrically opposite of his well known NYPD detective role lol. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/02/23 Full Review Tony M A very good movie that I loved as a kid and still do.
