Nick F A solid revenge Western, well filmed and with a very competent cast, but while the plot is rather unusual, it unfolds too slowly, with too much talking and not enough action. Robert Lansing, better known as a stage and TV actor, is a bounty hunter whose wife and child are killed by an old enemy, Ike Slant, played by the always reliable Slim Pickens. Teaming up with a young novice bounty hunter - Pat Wayne, second son of John Wayne - the two set off in pursuit of Slant. What follows is often ponderous and dull, with an overload of conversation and intense expressions, which dulls viewer interest in the final outcome. Good plot and character development with a good resolution to the story. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
