Torene Svitil Empire Magazine Clearly meant to be adorable, the kids crack jokes like screenwriters rather than children, and the plot is just as contrived as the self-conscious dialogue. Rated: 2/5 Dec 3, 2012 Full Review Jonathan Rosenbaum Chicago Reader This 1991 feature is not for diabetics or connoisseurs of real people, but everyone else should have a ball. Dec 3, 2012 Full Review Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle For the few lucky youngsters out there whose lives so far have not been touched by divorce, this movie may stir up illegitimate (or, at least, unnecessary worries). Such realism in an otherwise fantasy-based tale makes for an awkward combination. Rated: 2/5 Dec 3, 2012 Full Review Leonard Pitts Jr. Miami Herald What a charming, sweet-natured little fable this is -- warm and funny but smart, too. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 17, 2021 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine All I Want for Christmas is witless, insipid and insidious. Oct 11, 2019 Full Review TV Guide A lackluster, routinely directed and underwritten romantic comedy. Kapri C This is my absolute favorite Christmas movie of all time. Ethan is the big brother I always wished I had. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/16/23 Full Review Carel S I really like this one a lot. I don't understand why it got panned so hard :D It is definitely part of that "90s home alone" style of film. It's not a slapstick comedy, but it's not too serious, great combination. If you were a 90's kid, you'll love this throwback. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review William S Probably my favorite Christmas movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/24/22 Full Review crystal l I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! I especially enjoyed seeing Gabourey Sidibe raw and real! Her character was heartfelt, adorable, and a fierce warrior! And, she was funny as HECK!!! Netflix comedy show on the horizon?? A superb spin on a Christmas movie. Filled with relevance, substance, and depth. Kel Mitchell and Loretta Devine will warm any heart; they never disappoint! The combination of the three was stellar! It will definitely be my ‘go to' Christmas movie every year! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 SUCH A FUN-FILLED MOVIE! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/22 Full Review Audience Member I turned this on thinking it was a cute Christmas movie but this was awful. The kids are selfish and unlikable and the plot is a lot of wishful thinking Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I’ve enjoyed watching this every holiday season since I was little. Good early Thora Birch & Ethan Embry flick. Cute, silly Christmas movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/22/21 Full Review Read all reviews
