steve d Unless your really into dance, pass. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review kevin w Bing, using his cool older hipster persona, plays a songwriter given to youthful frolicking and so is assigned a 'secretary' to rein his irresponsible proclivities. Whatever could happen? All of which barely holds the thinnest of excuses to simply bathe viewers in Der Bingle's mellifluous tones until the credits roll. A couple of walk-on cameos are meant to distract. Do they? Bob Stack actually steals the film, words I never imagined I'd ever consider. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Great music and a fantastic cast. The one problem is that Bing and Nancy Olson share so little chemistry as a romantic couple. He's much better matched with Ruth Hussey but she's cast as the other woman. Still worth catching for the Peggy Lee/Bing Crosby duet if nothing else. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The story is predictable, but the actors bring charm to the movie, and make it really fun to watch. Plus, there's that cool duet with Crosby and Groucho! I liked this movie, it was entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I think Flixster has accidentally mixed up two different movies on the page for Mr. Music. The one I saw starred Bing Crosby and Nancy Olson. She plays his secretary, who helps him to write new music, and they fall in love. The movie also has Peggy Lee and Groucho Marx doing musical numbers with Crosby. It's a fun movie, and I enjoyed it, but the Flixster page has people listed who I don't think were in the movie I saw (the supporting cast is: Charles Coburn, Ruth Hussey, Robert Stack and Tom Ewell) , plus it's from 1950 not 1999.
