Audience Member Campy acting (aside Cushing) and a little underdeveloped, but still the better adaptation Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Terrible boring movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member It was the best of films, it was the worst of films. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member best movie adaption of the novel.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Plodding. Chris Sarandon just pouts and broods through this unexciting, made-for-TV version of a usually great story. It was fun to see him play both Sydney Carton and Charles Darnay, but you never really like him, and you don't care which one ends up getting it in the end, you are just looking forward to the guillotine to put us all out of our misery. Alice Krige's Lucie is vapid The only compelling actor is Billie Whitelaw as the evil Madame Therese Defarge. I recommend you skip this one and rewatch the great 1935, Ronald Colman version. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely horrible. Especially the acting and "special effects".
