John A John Badham's Hollywoodisms actually suit the screenplay quite well. I really can't compare this to Besson's original because that film was a more artsy subtle and very euro kind of character study. Fonda fits the role like a glove. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/24 Full Review StephenPaul C The greatest 01 hour: and 43 minutes ever!!!!!!!! Starring Bridget Fonda as a cop shooter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/04/23 Full Review Ray C Not too bad, would have liked more action and less talk in the middle.Seen better in the same genre. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/03/22 Full Review Audience Member ?????, entertaining but also over the top. Several fine actors but the acting was only ok. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I just watched the Original and this remake back-to-back. I won't say this movie is terrible, but it's definitely not even close to the original "La Femme Nikita". It's almost an exact remake of Nikita, but has a slightly different ending. The thing that really brings this movie down is the Music Score by Hans Zimmer. It doesn't fit the mood of the movie and is way too loud during most of the movie, especially the action scenes. Hans Zimmer is usually pretty good, but not this time. Bridget Fonda does nice with her role as the lead, but Dermot Mulroney struggles with his role as the boyfriend. David Ansen Newsweek More than anything, Fonda gives this glossy, reasonably entertaining rerun an American raison d'etre.
