victor o I usually spend some time channel surfing or whatever falls into my watchful eyes on my recommendations list and decide from there. With Fred Olen Ray, Jim Wynorski, and of course Roger Corman penning this movie I knew I was going to check this out. Basically, this is a modernized take on the old b-movies of the 1940s – 1950s uncharted island adventures where gorgeous people and dangerous dinosaurs occupy while strangers do their part to survive. Nothing more nothing less, but from what I hear, the production was inspired by Steven Spielberg's run with Jurassic Park and thought to take advantage of it. Little would they know that years later more serious films of the genre would be made with greater success. Still, what guy doesn't appreciate hot girls in animal skins and adventure fighting monsters? Not great but not bad. But the special effects used in this movie were cutting edge about 40 years ago. The scripting and dialogue was written by someone who has never served in the army or any branch of the military... and the rest is in the same caliber.
