[A] sweet-natured, high-spirited comedy, that rare movie that plays effectively to all ages. Go to Full Review

Cheesy? Certainly. But strong performaces and a heart-warming storyline make this a winner. Go to Full Review

Though it certainly has faults, which only the extremely nostalgic could ignore, the film bests its contemporaries through its ability to unite childlike comedy and adult concerns without ever obscuring one with the other. Go to Full Review

A brightly optimistic and warmly funny comedy, with solid performances and a no-nonsense visual approach that emphasises story over spectacle. Go to Full Review

Admittedly, it's a little predictable and patronising at times, but the eager performances of John Candy and his charges carry the day. Go to Full Review

Matthew D 3d When Disney made family movies with heart. Leon is a great lead as he’s cool, composed, and thoughtful on his way to athletic stardom. You believe that Leon’s character Derice Bannock wants fame, but he must learn the responsibilities required of a bobsled captain and driver that comes with the job. Doug E. Doug delivers one of the funniest supporting actor roles ever with his goofy and quotable comedic relief character Sanka Coffie. Rawle D. Lewis could have gotten an Oscar for his supporting role as the meek and confidence lacking Junior Bevil. I appreciate the strong and subtle performance from Malik Yoba as the hilariously named Yul Brenner. His confidence coaching scene with Lewis’ Junior is iconic and inspiring to see positive images of black strength on film. I have to mention the deliriously entertaining John Candy as Irv the Jamaican bobsled coach. See more Tyler L Nov 15 A really fun sports movie with heart. My students told me the following: - I liked this movie and some day i will watch it again. It's so funny and the comedy is good but a little too much. The history is perfect is a 10/10 -It's the best movie out of all the movies we watched at school this year. See more Adam M Oct 10 Great movie, I loved it as a kid and rewatched it with my wife (who grew up overseas and had never seen it before), we both loved it. Fantastic movie, as great as I remember. The only thing that felt a bit odd from a modern viewpoint was the awkward slow clap, which is minor (the moment called for a clap, but slow claps in general feel super inorganic) See more Sarah M Sep 6 This is probably one of the best movies I've watched. The story is heart-warming and the acting is spot on. 10/10 See more Kian K Sep 2 This movie is a 10/10 and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong (Kelli) See more Read all reviews
