Anne B Great movie that is follows the book better then Disney one does. If you don't like this one, it just means you have never read the book. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Cameron C Not going to lie, but I actually liked this better than the Disney version. It's more close to the books and it has a memorable cast. The music numbers and score are what I liked most. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/31/23 Full Review Almando H The Cast of this film is Absolutely Incredible! You have Whoopi Goldberg as The Cheshire Cat, Martin Short as The Mad Hatter, Ben Kingsley and The Caterpillar, pre Harry Potter Robbie Coltrane as one of the Tweedles & Miranda Richardson as The Queen of Hearts. It's Comedy Gold. Brings back so many childhood memories. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Jake N My absolute favourite adaptation of this story! It's also worth checking out the Behind The Scenes video on YouTube, it's amazing to see how all the practical effects were achieved. Truly a wonderfully made film, with lots of famous faces to look out for. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review jonathan m You would only really what does if you were a fan of Robbie Coltrane the wonderful actor from Britain or Whoopi Goldberg . So you were technically just watch it if you were die-hard fans of the various actors and actresses that are in the movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This is probably comes the closest to a accurate adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, so it's ultimately proof that Alice is probably unfilmable. I always thought the Alice stories would work better as a short series, because as a film, it comes out jumbled and split up because that's how the book is. It works in a book with chapters, in a film, it doesn't quite work. For an introduction to the story, this works fine, but as someone who knows the story inside and out, it kind of felt like going through the motions, and honestly the CGI and costume choices were a little weird and creepy. I give it points for it's attention to detail on the story, at least there's one direct adaptation out there even if it does pull some stuff from Looking Glass. As a film it's mediocre, for Alice fans it's an interesting novelty, but for people to hear the story who haven't and for some reason won't read the book I suppose this is the best possible option.
