A.L.Jude P Hmmm. not that great with a cast loaded with heavy stuff. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Perhaps a bit confusing in her metatextual message, but the Madonna's performance would have deserved a Golden Globe nomination, her best performance as an actress. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent Ferrara's work (Like all that moment in his career). Keitel and Russo are fantastic as well as Madonna and Nancy Ferrara. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Cameron M Though helped by an accomplished performance by Madonna, Dangerous Game's meta story telling never makes any connection, purpose, or momentum, outside of tepid entertainment. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/17 Full Review Audience Member It's really amazing and sad to see this movie is ranked as low as it is here. This is the ONLY movie you will ever see Madonna actually ACT in. She hated the experience (or so it is rumored). Abel Ferrara is one my favorite 'New York' directors. 'Bad Lieutenant', 'King of New York' and 'The Funeral' are all favs. This is a gritty look at 'method acting', independent film making and 'B' smoke. All the performances are great and it's also a behind the scenes look at the New York Art/Drugs/Party scene of the late 80's, early 90's. It's really sort of time capsule. And it deserves better understanding and far better treatment than a 29% rating. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review william s Madonna really, really had a bad year in films. Sheila Johnston Independent (UK) Abel Ferrara has never been exactly a mainstream film-maker, but with Dangerous Game he wanders too deep into the margins, even for die-hard Ferrara addicts. Nov 13, 2017 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly Rated: C- Sep 7, 2011 Full Review Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness One of [Ferrara's] most rewardingly challenging works. Rated: B+ May 19, 2006 Full Review Quentin Curtis Independent on Sunday It's especially good at showing how bad blood behind the camera can spill on to the screen. Dec 7, 2017 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...an uncommonly interminable experience.
