Glafira Regina O May 31 A fairly old movie, which topped the list of the most popular British films back in 1962. It's quite a specific kind of comedy — not everyone will enjoy it, mainly because humor back then was very different from what we’re used to now. Still, there were a few moments that made me smile, and Norman Wisdom's performance was excellent. I’d totally recommend reading his biography if you get a spare moment — it’s amazing how, despite such a tough childhood, Norman managed to become such a great comedian. See more 06/30/2014 kinda like UK version of our keystone cops See more 01/25/2012 Very dated, unfunny. Norman Wisdom films were recommended to me by my friend, Mike who loves the same type of Brit comedies as myself, but this film was just awful. See more 02/28/2011 Norman at his best, a brilliant example of Wisdom's comedy. I love the scene, although very silly, when all the policemen are running around. The comic timing is just brilliant and I was kept entertained throughout. A solid performance from all the actors, Norman is particularly charming, and his co-actors supporting him well. The plot is not that smooth and is all over the place, to be honest this film is just a load of sketches stitched together to make some sort of plot, this is not a big problem, and there is still plenty to entertainment. See more 10/18/2010 one of norman's best & funniest, the chase through the back gardens is so funny decent story See more 10/16/2010 Not the best story in the world, but it is one that showcases Norman Wisdom's comic talents to the full. He's on good form here. See more Read all reviews
