Pretty much a who's who of actresses and actors of the era. All were strong with Sarandon and Ryder being absolutely perfectly cast. It is a classic story it it is told very well...well it was an outstanding telling. This story seems like it will be told over and over and over again by many more people and it seems it will always be worth watching. There is nothing wrong with a nice wholesome movie filled with romance and tragedy and love. It was stunningly beautiful to watch. Yep, I'm a sap and even though I knew the story I still sat in tears with my puppy.
