Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/25/23 Full Review Hayley M My favourite depiction of this classic story! I have watched this throughout my childhood dozens of times! I always wanted to live in Marches cozy home with the attic and warm fire place .... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review Todd C Pretty much a who's who of actresses and actors of the era. All were strong with Sarandon and Ryder being absolutely perfectly cast. It is a classic story it it is told very well...well it was an outstanding telling. This story seems like it will be told over and over and over again by many more people and it seems it will always be worth watching. There is nothing wrong with a nice wholesome movie filled with romance and tragedy and love. It was stunningly beautiful to watch. Yep, I'm a sap and even though I knew the story I still sat in tears with my puppy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/13/23 Full Review JP It's perfect. Best iteration of the story I have seen. Anna Maria Dell'oso Sydney Morning Herald Armstrong and her team have made it an A-movie blubfest, a sisterhood fairy tale set in an almost operatic world of heightened emotional drama. The film feels both nicely dated and timeless at the same time. Apr 11, 2024 Full Review Barbara Creed The Age (Australia) Armstrong's direction is strong, the ensemble acting is excellent, and Winona Ryder gives a winning performance as Jo. Apr 11, 2024 Full Review Craig MacInnis Toronto Star Little Women is a quietly spirited family entertainment, and sure to be a seasonal favorite for those who loved the book. Rated: 4/5 Apr 11, 2024 Full Review Stephen Hunter Baltimore Sun I was struck all the way through by how neatly screenwriter Robin Swicord preserves so much of the novel while capturing its sense of warmth and its sense of deep female bonding. Apr 11, 2024 Full Review Rob Lowing The Sun-Herald (Australia) This is a lovingly told story, one with real humanity and an upbeat homage to family togetherness. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 11, 2024 Full Review Tom Ryan The Sunday Age Helped by a fine performance from Sarandon, Armstrong pays homage to motherhood through her. Apr 11, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews
