The delusional Don Quixote (Feodor Chaliapin) sets out on a noble quest with his trusty attendant Sancho Panza (George Robey) to seek adventure and defend the helpless against the giants, all in the name of chivalry. Along the way he encounters various people and places, mistaking them for something more valiant than they really are, as he's read a few too many books in his lifetime. While Sancho struggles to keep his master safe, Don Quixote's niece (Sidney Fox) plots to return him safely home.

01/30/2013 The earliest Don Quixote sound film versions to date, this film is rather dull and awkwardly includes some half hearted musical numbers. Its production values too are cheap and low, and the only thing that saves this film is its final scene where the hero famously attacks windmills.
