      Critics Consensus

Ironic given the scientific breakthrough at the story's core, Chain Reaction is a man-on-the-run thriller that mostly sticks to generic formula.

Cody W All of the twists and turns in this wild mystery thriller are insane, especially when it comes to the action sequences and the plot itself. CHAIN REACTION is a must see thrill ride that flies on all cylinders, thanks to its action packed story and incredible cast. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/13/23 Full Review Jelisije J The government making scapegoats of scientists who are trying to bring free clean energy into the world and must go on the run in this good, but predictable film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/10/23 Full Review Michael W This crime movie was pretty good. Keanu Reeves, Morgan Freeman, Rachel Weisz, Brian Cox, Kevin Dunn, Fred Ward, and the rest of the cast did a decent job in this movie. The plot of the movie was dramatic, thrilling, and suspenseful. It's about retrieving stolen property from corrupt people and clearing peoples' names for a crime they didn't commit. If you haven't seen this movie, you might like it. I thought it wasn't too bad. It all depends on what you think of it.
