Audience Member It's the late actor Christopher Reeve's directorial debut presented by HBO Films starring Robert Sean Leonard, Glenn Close, Bridget Fonda, David Straithairn, and Whoopi Goldberg Might possibly hold the record for one of the shortest tv features out there We focus on a young man Danny who's just come home to see his parents and his sister Sad to say he's been diagnosed with AIDS Danny doesn't have the easiest time dealing with this affliction and his father is having a hard time accepting his sexuality His sister, Anne is bothered by all the attention he's had his whole life Yet Danny's mother wants to maintain the connection as much as possible They even at one point share a morning outside in the gloaming (a time when the sun rises when you can almost see God) This is a deeply moving portrayal of a family brought together once more by tragedy but much needed re-affirmation The conclusions drawn are a tad muddled but all the players are effective with a man wanting to spend his last days the way he sees fit Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review Vivi Movie is about love and family. The first time accidentally. I cried and cried. What a heartbreaking movie. So many things about this story that touched me in a way I can't explain. I recommend if you happen across it on cable you watch it, but that you lay in a supply of Kleenex. It's a heartbreaker. But also a vehicle that will call on your heart to open a little, and maybe have some compassion.
