David Ansen Newsweek It starts to go awry in frenetic Vegas, when you realize that things happen because the screenplay it, not from any internal logic. It's the whatever school of filmmaking. "Go" has its pleasures, but I didn't really believe a word of it. Mar 3, 2018 Full Review Liam Lacey Globe and Mail Tickled. That's the square old word that comes to mind in response to the self-consciously hip Go. Rated: 3/4 Mar 19, 2002 Full Review John Wrathall Sight & Sound Frenetic, audaciously structured and plot-heavy, packed with enough incident for at least three films. Mar 5, 2002 Full Review Sarah Marloff Washington City Paper Told from the perspective of several characters, you’ll get rave scenes, car chases, Breakfast Club references, a killer soundtrack, and even a talking cat. It’s fun, chaotic, and an oddly poignant capturing of life on the brink of Y2K. Sep 23, 2024 Full Review Tom Meek Cambridge Day The immersion into into the pulse-pounding zeitgeist feels genuine and compellingly authentic as the drama unfurls through the eternal Day-Glo night. mark g One of my favorite movies ever. Love the humor, the action, the snappy dialog, and how it all comes together in the end. Todd Gaines, " I mean, it's not like I'm in a highly ethical industry.." Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Audience Member Doug Liman, director of 'Swingers' delivers another late 90's flick with a cast of young and upcoming talents centering on 3 different perspectives of a drug deal gone awry it's like 'Run Lola Run' and 'Pulp Fiction' with that bizarre and trippy narrative along with strange editing techniques Sarah Polley, Timothy Olyphant, Taye Diggs, Breckin Meyer, Scott Wolf, Katie Holmes, and William Fichtner are all thrown into the mix Ronna, Simon, and Adam all have their little adventures full of crazy antics from going to Vegas to unpaid debts to hit-and-runs and so forth even something as simple as dealing under the table creates the biggest trips I actually found this movie to be quite funny and adventurous despite the odd narrative and LSD filmmaking Liman manages to make this outing more than just a typical stoner comedy and as a non-traditional teen flick the real fun begins late at night for most of us so what's the worst that could happen? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/10/24 Full Review Margalot D I didn't love this movie. It hasn't aged well, the plot is thin, the characters annoying.
