Audience Member Laughably baD, GUTTENBURG SHOULD STICK TO COMEDY. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Perfect movie for anyone that enjoys cutting down movies! The actors are earnestly trying which makes for good fun cutting it down. Too bad to be taken seriously! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member 58% Guttenberg, apparently, has lost his sense of humor. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member God, this was absolsutely fricken terrible. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A secret war. An Unknown enemy. And a weapon so powerful no one can survive. Bill McNeil (Steve Guttenberg) is the leader of a special ops team called Mach One. When terrorists break into a government research facility and steal a biological weapon called SEREX, Mach One is assigned to board a plane carrying the virus and retrieve the virus before it is too late. After Mach One retrieves the virus, the team is met with suspicion. McNeil is accused of being the real culprit who organized the heist in the first place. The Mach One team is then being assassinated one by one. The only members left are McNeil and Sara Gemmel (Torri Higginson). They fight to stay alive, clear their names and catch the true killer. In the final fight, they come to realize that the man they thought was the true culprit, Dave Toombs (Sean Bean), is actually in league with a member of Mach One. The film is directed by Julian Grant who has worked on other film and television disasters as well. The directing in this film is poor with lame special effects, poor camera work, and it begs the question as to what the hell was the director thinking when this film was being made? It seems like no one is actually trying to do a good job at acting in this film or they are just not fitted for the roles. When there are times in the film where decent expression and emotion is required, there is no such thing. Sean Bean is an acclaimed actor but it looks as if he was not even trying in this film. He refers to the Mach One team as "Mack One" and his character is so poorly used in this film, you really only see him for 20 minutes tops. The writing is not suited for this film that is attempting to call itself a high octane action extravaganza. For instance, one the back of the DVD case, it hails itself as a "Brilliant action thriller with superb special effects: Air Force One meets Mission: Impossible." It doesn't even come close to this standard at all. The writing is simple, so the plot is simple. You are basically able to tell where the whole story is going once the team gets back to Washington. And once they get back to Washington, it looks as if they used stock footage of the Capitol buildings in this film because they were to cheap to get some better footage. This film can be entertaining if you don't take it seriously. This "action" flick turns into a comedy because it is so poorly executed. It is so poor that I found myself laughing at most of the scenes because it is a piece of crap. For what it is, it deserves a low rating and should only be watched on a rainy day. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this movie, Torri Higginson is an amazing and beautiful actress. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
