There are a few amusing bits, but one’s overall enjoyment of the film will depend on how much one appreciates such gags as a fat cook placing French toast between his butt cheeks and then serving it to a customer, or Tom Green tonguing a live mouse.

Beyond zeitgeist-seizing turns from Tom Green and Seann William Scott and the breakout of DJ Qualls, it's a stump-dumb but solidly funny comedy that, like the Farrelly Brothers, stays generally sweet while tiptoeing to the edge of R-rated offensiveness.

I like movies like this. Back in the 2000s, comedy was very popular, and dumb comedies were all the rage. This one is a good one. Amy Smart was really hot — and still is.

It falls under the category of "raunch com", yet it seems a little out of place. It's not as raunchy as some of its look alikes. It was more boring than I expected. But Sean William Scott is in it, so who can complain?

At time of release was perfect the world was in a great place! The reviews from last 20 years don’t count due to the era of back then! Great film and as of them from 2000! Takes you straight back to when times was good 👍🏻 also first America Pie film. Music 👌🏻

I will admit that "Road Trip" definitely had some moments that made me laugh. The problem is that a lot of the clearly comedic moments just didn't hit for me. There are plenty of gross and raunchy laughs I would expect from an early 2000s R-rated comedy, but it doesn't compare to some of the others in a similar category. The premise also doesn't leave the main characters particularly likable, and I never really found myself rooting for any of them. Overall, it is a strange movie that is clearly a product of its time, but it also isn't as good as some similar movies from the same time that still hit today.
