james g An okay western, fine for those who love the genre. Otherwise, there are so many other westerns far better. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I really, really enjoy the Virginian. It is such a really great movie. I absolutely love it. I have never heard of the movie before and I never heard of the older television series that has come out over the past generations. The movie aired on the TNT station on tv since 1999 which was a year after I was born. It's basically a remake to the classic tv series. I've watched the movie multiple times and it is enjoyable. I am a big fan of the Virginian. I am also a fan of westerns. And of course Bill Pullman has an amazing performance in the film where he plays the main character the Virginian. He's really great as the role. And Diane Lane is also in the movie and she plays the woman that Bill Pullman's character marries at the end. Diane Lane is very good in it as well. It was the 2nd movie I saw Diane Lane in. I saw her in the outsiders first before the Virginian and she's really beautiful. I personally thought the Virginian was very well done. I highly recommend checking out the Virginian it's a really great one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The Virginian is a really good TV movie. In my opinion it is enjoyable. Such a great 90s western movie. I thought its cool that the Virginian came on the TNT station on television because itï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s a TV movie. Bill Pullmanï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s performance is absolutely amazing in the movie. I am a big fan of Bill Pullman. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member When it comes to Westerns, I am a bit critical, I suppose...and I did not expect much from a reprise of The Virginian. I liked Gary Cooper's old film, and still do. However, this film was smoother, and more technically well done. It was superb, in fact. The casting of Dennis Weaver, and Dianne Lane...and, Harris Yulin as the Judge--what a display of talent! I had to grow into appreciating Mr. Pullman's portrayal of the Virginian character, but I like him better each time I view the story. A believable Virginian was Randolph Scott...who was, of course, a Virginian. Anyway...I appreciate the hard work that went into that film...and I would not mind sitting down with some Irish Coffee and the actors, discussing it. Thank you, cast and directors. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Traditional western with bad guy and revenge for the hero who was wronged. Slow pace, period dialogue, beautiful landscapes, very good supporting cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Kinda a slow drawn out Western but ok for something to watch for a couple of hours Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
