christopher c. m This was during the time when everyone was trying to cash in on James Bond. And as a cash grab goes it's pretty fun. Not sure how it's more tawdry than your given Bond movie. It's not like it had actually nudity. So why certain critics brand it bad for being tawdry needs to get out of the 1920s and wake up to the fact that adults enjoy movies. Now a problem that many modern people is Victor Buono in yellow face, I think. Hard to tell. It's not James Bond but there are worse Bond cash grabs out there. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Luca D I thought this movie was very funny and entertaining. I would watch again. So it has some cheesy fx and some plot holes it's just a slapstick spy comedy so it's really not offensive at all. There are some cringe parts when the character pause after a line waiting for the audience to laugh but other than that, some of the jokes are actually really funny. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/01/21 Full Review Audience Member Spy spoof film which never hits the mark. Dean Martin is the main issue for me, if you like him you might like the film, otherwise if you like Bond and want some humour skip this. Not a film for feminists. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review william d Strictly in the "so bad it's good" category, The Silencers works better as an idealized version (well, a man's idealized version) of the Swingin' Sixties than as a spy spoof. Stella Stevens is both beautiful and believable as the "Helm Girl." Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Nobody plays cool like the King of Cool dino--all these over the top slapsticky Matt Helms flicks are a total blast Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member An absolute blast from start to finish. Of course, it's totally ridiculous and, like much of his films, buoyed entirely by Dean Martin's sheer charisma, but nonetheless heaps of fun. I mean there's a laser-proof golf cart for christ's sake Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
