It moves along smoothly and stays competent throughout, yet it plays things far too safe, placing every twist exactly where you expect it. The film rarely tries to mislead or challenge the viewer, which drains much of its tension. Sandra Bullock is the clear highlight, stepping away from her usual warmth to portray a more guarded and weary character, often elevating scenes that would otherwise feel flat. The rest of the cast does its job without standing out. The problem isn’t a lack of professionalism, but a lack of risk. Everything feels clean, controlled, and comfortable, even when the story hints at darker psychological territory. It entertains just enough to pass the time, then fades from memory.
