Audience Member Mayor Pete was a fascinating glimpse into an historic campaign. The behind the scenes access helped fill in a lot of blanks, like the night of the Iowa caucuses, where the incompetence of the Iowa Democratic Party stole from the Buttigieg campaign a bump that historically propels a candidate. We learned a little more about Pete and Chasten, but the sleeper star was campaign media director Lis Smith. She needs a reality show! Really well done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Kind of a bummer, but well done. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A time capsule of the '60's & '70's on film when it was all crazy sexy fun with few cautions (like AIDS) ... and an interesting study of the vaporous wall that separates legitimate fame and the too-soon-forgotten. KROQ - now we know. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member While the climax of the narrative is weak, the names that appear illustrate a deep musical history. Well worth a watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Jim C Rodney Bingenheimer is a true ICON. How in the Hell is this guy NOT in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/31/13 Full Review Audience Member An amazing tribute to an amazing personality. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times This engrossing work, at once compassionate and rigorous, comprehensive and succinct, would be the centerpiece of any festival for the way it illuminates the life and times of the enigmatic, diminutive Bingenheimer... Feb 10, 2020 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Hollywood Reporter Has a commercial reach that goes beyond local hero worship thanks in part to an all-star lineup of interviewees, including Cher, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Gwen Stefani and Courtney Love, to name just a few confirmed Rod-heads. Aug 10, 2004 Full Review Roger Moore Orlando Sentinel Captures Bingenheimer in all his celeb-fondling glory. But it's a forlorn sight, one the film doesn't turn away from as it arcs from giddy inclusion to lonely pathos. Rated: 4/5 May 21, 2004 Full Review Josh Ralske All Movie Guide A film that critiques our obsession with celebrity while simultaneously exploiting it. Rated: 5/10 Oct 26, 2007 Full Review Jason Gorber Film Scouts Wisely switching from film to DV when the setting demands a more subtle camera situation, it's a mature documentary from a veteran of the form. Rated: A- Jun 21, 2007 Full Review Collin Souter eFilmCritic.com By the end, I felt neither happy nor sad for Rodney. I enjoyed being in his presence for 90 minutes, but I can't exactly agree that he has a magnetic personality. Rated: 3/4 Jan 15, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews
