steve d There are pieces of a good movie here, but everything feels really rushed with no time to develop any of it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review dave j The set up has James (Jim Caviezel) reminiscing how he witnessed his wife run down by a 72 black Cadillac while walking across a desert highway. He is on a crusade to get even with the perpetrator after believing this is how he gets his kicks is by running people over before doing it again at the next state he crosses. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The film is an easy watch. With the same director as The Hitcher, and a similarly horror car-centric film, this is perfect for anyone that wants to see more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member An intense drama that will keep you interested from the opening scene to the very end. ''Highwaymen'' delivers! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review laurie s As crap movies go, this has to be a winner. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Okay, let's get something straight, when I watch a film in this type of genre I like to think there's going to be some sort of realism. But when a car is shunted fro behind and the car weighs prbablt a ton it doesn'r fly 20 fet into the air, it's logitically impossible. Noe I see this type of stunt where the director thinks we the audience are morons but in reality we aern't. That is when the film devalues itself and I stop watching. Bye, bye. Anna Smith Empire Magazine Both the well-choreographed crash scenes and the gritty cinematography hint at a better film. Shame no-one took the time to make it. Rated: 2/5 Jul 3, 2004 Full Review Jamie Russell BBC.com As car wrecks go, Highwaymen is a five-lane pileup on the freeway to hell. Rated: 1/5 Jul 3, 2004 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Lacks the sprawling, Westernized mythos of The Hitcher and feels, in the end, like a previously owned nightmare sorely in need of a new universal hell joint.
