Frances H A film that shows the legacy of the director's father in its themes, cinematography, and mellow feelings. What could be called a coming of age story, but is really more. I liked it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/02/13 Full Review Audience Member why they make sad movies !!!!!!!!!!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Really nice and well done movie. Not fast moving, but really comforting and enjoyable to watch. Stanley Tucci is a very nice addition, also. He doesn't have a huge part, but what he is in is highly enjoyable. Ty Burr Boston Globe Merriman evinces only the soft-focus moodiness of an outdoor-clothing catalog. The supporting cast practically stands on its collective head trying to pick up the slack, but to little use. Rated: 1/4 Nov 5, 2004 Full Review Luke Y. [It] flirts with exploring important themes, but ultimately only scratches the surface of a few of them.
