Ty Burr Boston Globe This 28th entry in Toho Studio's series about the fire-breathing big fella is campily engaging for a while, but at two hours-plus you may come out feeling captivated dead. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 5, 2005 Full Review Kevin L. Lee Film Inquiry It's clear that director Ryuhei Kitamura approached the material with the sole intention of creating the mother of all monster rumbles. Jun 7, 2019 Full Review Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy Some kind of unholy hybrid of Godzilla, The Matrix, and Star Wars. Rated: 5/10 May 13, 2014 Full Review Steve Biodrowski ESplatter This 50th anniversary grand finale to the long-running series is a rush of explosive excitement that pays homage to what came before but hypes it up into a kinetic brew that feels fresh and exciting %u2014 not an obituary-like coda but a glorious send-off Jul 11, 2008 Full Review Andrew Kasch Dread Central ...the story is about on par with the Xbox games. But who cares? It's pure camp. Rated: 4/5 Jan 26, 2006 Full Review Mark R. Leeper rec.arts.movies.reviews This final film offers a lot of sound and fury and weaves fourteen copyright Toho monsters into one plot, but the film offers nothing that is both new and of interest. The plot is a re-tread of that of DESTROY ALL MONSTERS. Rated: 4/10 Jan 3, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member This is my favourite, thing of all time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Justin T This is not a “good” movie in the traditional sense of the word but oh my gosh this certainly is an entertaining movie. So if you are not pretentious then you gotta see this one! You don’t even need to see any of the previous ones. It’s a giant monster, actually no, it’s lots of giant monsters. And aliens. You really can’t get bored watching this. I didn’t like the look of the film, like they tried to copy The Matrix (1999) but without any of the finesse. In fact, it takes a lot from other films, most notably The Matrix as already mentioned but also from the Star Wars films. Not that I mind as the series has done it’s own takes on James Bond, Indiana Jones and The Terminator to name a few direct previous influences. There are so many kaiju in this film and there are aliens and lots of city smashing so this is certainly the best of this era of Godzilla but falls short of most of the previous era. The kaiju are all looking the best that they ever looked. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/24 Full Review Dogzilla D Define "epic". - Dogzilla Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/27/24 Full Review Alessandro M The best iteration of the best fictional character with one of the best movie soundtracks and with one of the best human characters in fiction played by a legendary wrestler. Simply the best movie of all time, no more (maybe), and surely no less. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/24 Full Review Audience Member This, is the first and best godzilla movie I've seen it is the perfect mix of showa, heisei, and millennium it has all of the king of the monsters allies and enemies. And Monster X/Keizer Ghidorah is my favorite Ghidorah (Along side with Heisei Ghidorah). Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/02/24 Full Review Bob V One of my favorite godzilla movies. Action packed with the best American general in cinema history. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
