Jeff Shannon Seattle Times Mundrucz knows what he's doing, even when it seems like he's intentionally alienating his film's already tiny target audience. Rated: 2.5/4 Jul 8, 2010 Full Review Matthew Leyland BBC.com The potentially riotous combo of sex, song and surgery palls all too quickly, leaving us waiting around for morphine addict turned maverick nurse Orsolya Tth's inevitable date with flaming destiny. Rated: 2/5 Oct 28, 2006 Full Review Martin Hoyle Time Out The cinematography of Mtys Erdly and Andrs Nagy creates a nightmare subterranean world whose images linger after the sound and the (not very furious) fury have died away. Oct 28, 2006 Full Review Total Film Sounds barmy, doesn't it? Alas, it's a bit of a bore. Rated: 2/5 May 20, 2013 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film Art, or arse? Well, we certainly see plenty of Toth's behind as she orgasms elderly blokes back to health. Rated: 2/5 Dec 7, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I first got a bit confused it was opera style but they fit the style in so nicely I continued watching. Even thou she heals in a strange way I cant see they do the movie any other way. The moral story of the story is just amazing. Being good doesnt pay off. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Very strange, surreal opera - apparently some kind of reimagining of Joan of Arc in a nightmarish hospital where a young drug addict is trained to be a nurse by a doctor who becomes infatuated with her, meanwhile she heals male patients by screwing them and refuses his advances. In terms of mood it has good moments, with the location and dirty cinematography creating a nightmarish atmosphere - although Lars Von Trier has done similar things with his The Kingdom series. It raises questions about authority, morality and love/sex but on no complex levels. An interesting film experiment, but it didn't grab me. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A Hungarian musical- which I did not expect same at the beginning. As a consequence, I was left puzzled in the chilly, drizzle while walkin' out the cinema... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Bela Tarr as producer? Must have been an off day. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A very unique tribute to the legendary Joan of Arc, in an opera style. The protagonist challenges the moral value, saving ppl by having sex with them, turns out the nurses and doctors are all against her n eventually kill her. The docs and nurses are like the ppl who are holding the power, hence they measures everything with their own ruler, although they knows about her miracle, but they regard it as evil.
