Audience Member Semi-original concept but with a low-budget execution. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't care how cheesy the plot was at times, it was still a lot of fun! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie had an extremely weak plot. and was rather poorly acted. I love Tom Cavanagh, but he made a big mistake in signing up for this movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Wowzers! This was a terrible movie!! Basically, someone wanted to create a romantic comedy and realized halfway through filming that it wasn't going to be any good. Instead of changing it, they gave up. That's what this feels like. My favourite part was how they through in some reference to alchemy at the end just to justify the "cool" title that some studio go-for desperately wanted to use. Well, that was my second favourite part. My favourite part was that this "scientist" hadn't to ask someone else what the word was for when lead gets turned into gold. Seriously?! Tom Cavanagh is an adorable man. It's too bad that he found his way into this film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I was prepared not to like it when the start of the soundtrack butchered a favorite old song I recall hearing my dad sing, Let Me Call You Sweetheart. and it was kind of predictable. but it was geeky enough to be amusing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh man, this was like a made-for-tv lifetime movie...but I still loved it! It was really, extraordinarily cheesy, but I enjoyed the chemistry that Chalke and Cavanagh had together. The only thing that bugged me was the over-the-top performance of the Dr. Love character.
