Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens This is one of the finest war movies to come along in years. Nov 15, 2019 Full Review Steve Rhodes Internet Reviews Once it's over with, you may feel cheated since you realize that it never went much of anywhere. Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 30, 2006 Full Review Cherryl Dawson and Leigh Ann Palone TheMovieChicks.com While it's clear that this movie is trying to making a general anti-war statement, the story elements don't add up to a big picture about anything in particular. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 29, 2004 Full Review Scott Weinberg eFilmCritic.com Reminiscient of Keith Gordon's fantastic A Midnight Clear mixed with a healthy dose of Rod Serlingism, Straight Into Darkness is a dark and stark little tale. Phil R Not a traditional war movie in any way. Pluto app just put it on automatically and the first 15 minutes didn't catch my attention but then things escalate pretty quick and it gets more engaging. I'm not a fan of the long thought provoking scenes but I got over it for this film and actually began to enjoy the flash backs. Great example of what can be done with low budget, average acting and decent story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I really liked this film. It was not like any war movie I've seen. Very unique. Held my interest all through till the end. Exciting. Thought provoking. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Frances H Tragic, sorrowful and deeply moving story that is fascinatingly different from any other film of this genre that I've ever seen with some of the most visually breath-taking scenes one could imagine in a war movie. Even the music is evocatively eerie. This is a film that bears re-viewing to be fully appreciated. It blew me away.
