Empire Magazine Rated: 2/5 Jul 15, 2005 Full Review Kirk Honeycutt Hollywood Reporter Only students of Greek mythology will appreciate Bonello's contempo version of Tiresia and even they may wonder what his point is. May 22, 2003 Full Review Anton Bitel Eye for Film Intense, intriguing, beautifully framed and intellectually challenging, Tiresia defies easy categorisation (much like its principal character). Aug 10, 2007 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Full of powerfully emotional scenes, even if it's almost entirely untouchable--obtuse, bewildering and almost agonisingly slow. Audience Member a beautiful film - in fact more comparible to baroque art than any mainstream movies. we are presented with many conflicting aspects; most obviously the protagonist's gender changing from female to male without her hormones, another prominant contrast is the blindess of the main character agaisnt their second sight. Despite this the film plays out harmoniously & smoothly. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I didn't get this film at all. What was it about? And what the hell is those random lava pit scenes? If anyone could make scence, let me know. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I was really looking forward watching this one but.... it didnt work for me. There are some well made scenes but it was not enough for a 2 hours film. If you want to watch a good transsexual film then try to watch STRELLA or BEAUTIFUL BOXER. PLUS: Idea CONS: implementation Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member buenisima me impacto Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member .. MIRAME... ES INHUMNO... ES ASQUEROSO TODO ESTA BIEN... TODO ESTA BIEN Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Weird, so very weird. Plus, the version I watched is without subtitles... Yikes! A re-interpretation of Tiresias based on the description in Greek mythology. The character Tiresias had been split into two & played by different actress (Clara Choveaux) & actor (Thiago Telcs); whilst Laurent Lucas plays 2 different characters at the same time. The story (narrative) was supposed to be linear developing but somehow the film was also cutting into 2 followed by Tiresia's transformation in the middle, alias, the 2nd Tiresia basically has nothing to do with the 1st one. And this is what a typical French movie does- the director intends to show you the agenda attached rather than simply telling you a rational story. [Tiresias], in this case, would be an interesting one for viewing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
