Empire Magazine Rated: 2/5 Apr 1, 2006 Full Review Robert Koehler Variety Snowed under by misjudgment on every level, The Big White is DOA. Nov 16, 2005 Full Review John DeFore Hollywood Reporter Never completely finds its balance. Oct 10, 2005 Full Review Chuck O'Leary FulvueDrive-in.com A lame Fargo wannabe. Despite Robin Williams and a decent supporting cast, this was barely released to theaters, and it's easy to see why. Rated: 3/10 Jul 13, 2007 Full Review Caffeinated Clint Moviehole A cross-between "Raising Arizona" and "The Big Lebowski". A good film. Rated: 3/5 Nov 7, 2006 Full Review David Cornelius eFilmCritic.com It's one of those movies that wants to be hip, but winds up being irritating in a pretentious, poseur sort of way. georgan g What a great cast! The acting was so believable that despite a far-fetched plot it was very watchable. The dark humor was good and the locations beautiful. Also, rather touching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is something else altogether. It is not "Fargo," it is a masterful film of an eclectic group of characters who give the movie so many quirky, perfect moments. It is really sad that movie critics latched onto "Fargo" and found it came up short. This is one of those movies, like the series, "Schitt's Creek," where all the characters are superb and are wonderfully funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member There's no harm in following another film's tone, but there's a fine line between homage and cheap imitation. The Big White conjures the dark farce of Fargo well, but throws itself in a wood chipper with its terrible ending. This is a neat black comedy that's riddled with holes. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member When a movie manages to keep you wondering what is going to happen next, it's almost certainly a good movie, or at least, a very entertaining one. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review nicolas b Kinda wants to be Fargo, but ends up being not. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Very enjoyable film with some good funny moments. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
