It's an embarrassing half assed horror film that goes nowhere, and I couldn't stand it. Go to Full Review

Though certainly a cut above the majority of its straight-to-video horror brethren, Rest Stop is ultimately undone by the inclusion of several questionable elements... Go to Full Review

...another of those films where we just wish the madman would dispatch the leading lady as quickly as possible and be done with it, putting her and us out our misery. Go to Full Review

This is a flat horror effort that ranges from dull to unintentionally hilarious to, finally, tiresome. Go to Full Review

B P @Bradster69 Sep 8, 2026 Not Bad, but Not My Favorite See more Maz F @mazfarth Dec 14, 2025 I thought this movie was okay - a bit gory and confusing but it seems to make much more sense if you watch the second movie (Don't Look Back) straight after. Couldn't have been that bad if I was able to binge both movies one after the other. See more Adam L @Bolts3618 Jun 22, 2025 I tried so hard, but I couldn’t even finish the movie. Plot made no sense, no likeabke characters, every decision made was nonsensical, and it was slow. Do not waste a moment on this movie. See more Jerod S @jeroduptown Oct 30, 2023 Man, rest stops are scary and nasty. But the cheese applied to this idea ruined all the horror that could've been had. When the old beat up ford with the mystery killer driver ran over the cops knees, I was done. See more Nov 29, 2020 Does this movie make any sense? No. Would I recommend it to most people? No. Does it have Joey Lawrence from Blossom fame in it? Yes. Did I watch this movie twice in 2020 and not even notice that Joey Lawrence was in it? Yes. Is Joey Lawrence's character in the movie the dumbest cop of all time? Yes. Does this movie have one of the funniest horror movie death sequences ever? Yes. Girl runs away from home with boyfriend. They stop at a rest stop and her boyfriend and the car disappears. She ends up stranded at the rest stop and some deranged killer in a yellow truck stalks her. Faced with this horrifying realization what do you think the female protagonist decides to do? Umm, well she decides it's time to get drunk. lmao....Check it out if you like cheesy so bad that they pretty good movies. TW See more victor o @RT45890256 Jul 27, 2020 I am a fan of lead actress Jaime Alexander and saw this movie because she is in it. This was one of her first movies and unfortunately, it is not a good movie and her performance was satisfactory for the first half and the rest went downhill to the end. This is a horror thriller in with Alexander plays Nicole, a young Texan girl who runs off with her boyfriend because she is sick of her boring life back home and wants to try out her life in California. Everything seems fine up until they arrive at the rest stop. From here it's the same old horror show where a haunted place keeps people from leaving as psycho killers with a strange power allow innocent people to either be butchered or locked up in a strange bathroom for years without aging or unable to leave. It is a very strange movie and one that for the first half is okay but when they reveal such things as a girl from the 1970s locked in the bathroom or the freak show family down to the deputy that gets brutalized it only made me disgusted. Poor acting and poor storytelling. The only good thing is Jaime Alexander's pretty face that kept me watching. See more Read all reviews
