Robert Koehler Variety Far more jocular, good-natured and thoughtful than Moore partisans might expect. Nov 3, 2004 Full Review Roger Ebert Ebert & Roeper It's kind of a sweet movie in it's own way it's not really angry about anything. Nov 2, 2004 Full Review Richard Roeper Ebert & Roeper Now despite that mean-spirited and unfair title, this is an honest attempt by one young filmmaker to examine Moore's controversial methods and to question his politics. Nov 1, 2004 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures Don't let the title fool you. Instead of a hit piece on Michael Moore's politics, Wilson examines his techniques, particularly the dishonest approaches he uses in filmmaking. Rated: 2/5 Apr 5, 2005 Full Review Luke Y. Thompson Los Angeles CityBeat actually turns out to be a balanced and open-minded piece in the style of the man it proclaims to despise Oct 28, 2004 Full Review Read all reviews

chartwell c This film should be watched before watching any of Michael Moore's films, especially those prior to 2004. It highlights Moore's deceptive filming style and provides the hidden subtext which exposes the reported lies littered throughout Moore's films. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Repugnant propaganda. This smacks of precisely the same denigration directed against dissidents within the Soviet Union and virtually every totalitarian regime. Criticizing government policy is not tantamount to hatred of a nation Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Mike Wilson exposes Michael Moore for being the lying, cheating, America hating, hypocritical, narcissist that he really is. Also, without having to be triggered or angry like Moore in most of his own documentaries. For the film itself, it's easygoing, well paced and altogether fun to watch. I advise all Americans to watch this extremely entertaining documentary. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok micheal Moore movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty hypocritical movie. Pretty boring. But interesting about the way Michael Moore films things. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review david f While amateurish, this movie takes a critical look at Michael Moore's documentaries and uncovers some very interesting details about his methods. There are a few interviews with people who have appeared in Moore's film who describe events as depicted by Moore a little differently than the way they come across in his films. The tone is also not as negative as the title would seem to indicate. Overall a good antidote to Moore which also, in a way, helps you to appreciate his films even more once you get a greater understanding of them.
