Audience Member I thought this was a good horror movie, but at time this movie was very cheesy. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Great Halloween movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Yet another entry in the growing sub-genre of evil scarecrow horror films, Hallowed Ground feels too much like a rip-off of Children of the Corn to be effective in any way. A few modestly entertaining and brutal scenes do little to detract from the thoroughly derivative and stupid nature of the film. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Hallowed Ground = Steaming Mound... Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This wasn't what I was expecting...and strange that Liz was running away here just as she was in Rest Stop. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Jaimie Alexander and Brian McNamara co-headline the direct-to-video supernatural horror saga Hallowed Ground. The problem is that when people rent it they'll find that it was just a straw man and they might just set fire to it and your video store. The film might entertain if you have a head full of straw, but I'd bet not. The big problem with Hallowed Ground, not including the low budget or some of the cheesy CGI effects, is that it is one of those supernatural horror films with no sort of governing rules or logic that apply to the universe. Things happen with little or no explanation, and the audience is never supposed to ask any real questions. But at some point you find yourself asking all sorts of questions, because it often feels like writer-director David Benullo is making stuff up just for the sake of moving the story forward. Hallowed Ground isn't exactly very holy and the plot is ground out of other horror movies. There's the girl in peril that part of a nefarious prophecy that she stumbles onto. VERDICT: "Hit The Exits" - [Panned Reaction] These are some of the worst films ever made. These films do everything wrong and do it worse than bad. Audiences should never see this film under any circumstances!
