It's one of those movies where the wretched actors have to pretend to know what's going on as the CG effects take place beside and around them. They do their best. But it's Alvin and co that toddlers will appreciate.

The animated chipmunks are just the right blend of realism and anthropomorphism. Their signature songs and rendition of "Funkytown" are fun, but their squeaky versions of current hits such as "Bad Day" are annoying, not charming.

A good and enjoyable movie that is heavily criticized by people who do not understand the purpose of the film to make people laugh regardless of the plot holes or how absurd a scene is.

It might be an older movie but it’s great 1. Songs even if there just already made songs but sang by Alvin Simon and Theadore 2. EPerfect villain for a singing chipmunk story 3. Iconic ALLLLVIN from Dave voiceline only complaint is (spoilers) the vague way Alvin and the chipmunks escaped the cage at the end of the movie but other then that great movie to watch 5 stars
