S S Probably one of Meg Ryan's best films it's a movie about so much and yet it's a movie about filmmaking which is great and does not a lot of movies like that do movies Justice unless you've worked on movies you probably have no clue I can't believe that people did not like this movie people have terrible taste with no good movie if it came out of their ass. Meg Ryan so underrated. Shes done so many amazing films. Also William h macy is top notch. This movie is hidden gem. Great cast. Im LL cool j. The whole cast of characters are amazing so much talent. Its a movie within a movie n so much more luv this film. Watched it 1000 times never gets old. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/24/22 Full Review Audience Member Macy and Ryan were great. The script could have been a little tighter, but good overall. I find it funny that some are calling the story unbelievable at times. Good lord, it's a movie. Half the movies in Hollywood have unbelieveable scripts. It's called fiction,, entertainment. You loved Indiana Jones and that's ten times more unbelievabke than this movie. Anyway, solid film but not a classic Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Good enough to see once ....not hilarious , just a bit of feel good movie . SOMDVD Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Great Movie about the craziness of Hollywood Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member La pelicula tiene un argumento interesante, es una buena e inteligente sátira al mundo del cine. Pero no aporta más que eso. La pelicula se enreda en su esencia, no divierte y dificilmente entretiene. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Although it had its moments, the story was just too unbelievable and contrived. It was very self-aware and tried to be risqué, yet was done complete Hollywood fashion. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Peter Debruge Variety Unfortunately, the characters seem to be doing all the laughing, while the general public has nothing to cling to but the horndog flirtation between mismatched leads William H. Macy and Meg Ryan -- hardly ideal ingredients for mainstream success. Jan 25, 2008 Full Review Stephen Farber Hollywood Reporter A wacky Hollywood satire that never catches fire. Jan 25, 2008 Full Review Prairie Miller NewsBlaze The Deal could have had a more solid impact with a leaner script shaving off some of those subplot detours. And can we drop those lewd seduction routines in these movies already that hello, would never get the babe in the real world.
