In 1928 Los Angeles, single mother Christine Collins (Angelina Jolie) arrives home to find her son, Walter, gone. Five months later her prayers are answered when Walter is found in Illinois. But to Christine's horror, the boy who steps off the train is not her son. Authorities vehemently dispute Christine's claim, and her one ally is a clergyman (John Malkovich) who sees the case as his chance to expose corruption in the Los Angeles Police Department and government.

Changeling (2008) is a film that starts very fast but then the story unfolds very slowly. The mother desperate to find her missing son is a highlight of this story, Angelina Jolie's character manages to convey a lot of pain and suffering, it is a 2h 21m film that managed arrest me.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, a história é fraca, os personagens sao fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes para fazer o filme ser bom.

Well all I can say is Clint Eastwood has done it again. His all star cast has really pulled together to deliver a heart breaking performance. Angelina has proven she is definitely a Hollywood icon in her own right. Along with superb acting of John Malkovich, Jeffery Donovan, Colm Feore as well as others, Clint has brought to light the incompetence of the 1920’s Los Angeles police department and its feeble attempts to cover their actions perhaps resulting in the death of Mrs Collin’s son.

I thought Angelina acted well, there were some standout acts from other members of the cast too. But overall the movie felt basic and boring at times. The ending was bleak and uninspiring too.
