Los Angeles Times Director Richard Rich faces the daunting task of not being able to actually show Muhammad in accordance with Islamic law. He and screenwriter Brian Nissen are for the most part successful. Rated: 3/5 Nov 18, 2004 Full Review Dana Stevens New York Times Faithful to Islamic law's prohibition against representing its title character, this movie gives a prophet's-eye-view on the story. Rated: 3/5 Nov 16, 2004 Full Review Ed Halter Village Voice Though noble in its intent to portray Islam as a peace-loving faith, the narrative flow remains compromised by its catechistic asides and displaced hero. Nov 16, 2004 Full Review Maitland McDonagh TV Guide This simplistic animated feature falls firmly within the long tradition of bland, upbeat and earnest religious instructional films. Audience Member Evil, sick, and diabolical. The largest cult founder in the world Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member 2nd best movie on life on muhmmad.. after muhmmad:messenger of god Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie got boring too quickly. First off, three major characters, most notably Muhammad, but also Hamza and Ali, aren't visually depicted; whenever they are spoken to, or are in a scene, the characters speaking to them face the camera. The camera even moves to indicate when they are shaking their heads, which really looks ridicules. They don't even speak but their words are spoken for them by a narrator. All of that might be valid for religious reasons but it makes it impossible to really enjoy this movie. Also each time Muhammad's name is mentioned, which obviously happens constantly, the narrator follows with "peace and blessing be upon him"; that is tolerable when you hear it one time, but after 20 times it becomes extremely annoying and makes it clear that this movie is made for deeply religious muslims only and isn't open to any other group. The story might be good but that's about it and unless you're a very religious person who already knows everything about Muhammad, you will unlikely care for this movie! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Very good movie... True history of Islamic revolution presented in a very good manner... Obviously worth for the children... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Great Animated Movie On The Last Prophet (Peace and Blessings upon him), but could have done much better Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
