A low-budget, independent film that feels like you're a voyeur observing Timothy Lee (Eric) as he comes to terms with his homosexuality and family moving to Canada from Hong Kong. The camera takes you on his personal journey as you meet his lovers, friends, and tricks. I liked the contrasting scenes of Hong Kong and the Canadian locations make Toronto seem very tranquil.
His family doesn't really factor in his being gay so they're more in the background. Jovita Adrineda is very good as the mother but her strained relationship with the father could have used more exposition. It's not very clear why the family uprooted to Canada either. There's not too much character development in how Eric is abandoned by his friend Jim, or his perfunctory sex with an older man, Larry.
At 80 minutes, the movie ends too abruptly. However, if you like independent films, you should, at least, admire the effort here.

Hilariously awkward dialogue mixed with pretentious 'finding oneself in the metaphorical field' scenes; not the best acting, but it is a decent film nonetheless.

What happened? The movie just stopped at the end! Bad acting, bad dialogue. Points for trying to explore cultural challenges for immigrants to Canada and points for filming in Toronto.
