Critics Consensus

Heavily reliant on stereotypes and shallow teen comedy clichés, I Love You Beth Cooper is a humorless affair that fails to capture the charm of its source novel.

Rare T Predictable ending from the very start, but not how that ending would be realized… And then it’s just a fiasco of events that would never make sense in a million years, entwined with a few bawdy jokes in an attempt to save the day. Well, part of the deal was the 2009 vibes taking over, and that’s enough by itself. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Gerard S The movie was great, too bad it did not have a sequel. Last time, I watched it was in high school now I'm in my 30s. Still great movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/30/24 Full Review Hayley M This should be played in prison on repeat! Excellent punishment tool! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/23 Full Review Steve D Hayden is a heck of an actress but this gives her little to do. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/08/23 Full Review Kiko G The opening was the only good part and everything else after that is terrible mess. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/26/23 Full Review Alex H Plot was quite confusing, very choppy movie Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
