During the last samurai war, Japan is split after the fall of the Shoguns. In an effort to stop the advancing army, a group of imprisoned criminals are ordered to defend a mountain pass fortress. With the promise of freedom, forgiveness and redemption for their past crimes, the 11 rebels risk certain death amidst the fierce battle, hail of bullets and slashing swords to make their heroic stand.

Really boring. If you want to watch a very long movie, with shallow characters, no character development and where everybody dies this movie is for you! Would not recommend.

I love watching 11 rebels movie, it has the elements of Akira Kurosawa, and the visual effects are so excellent. Definitely the best Eiga of the year.

Synopsis
